We split
the web development process into two main stages:
Stage I
- Website layout design
What we
basically do is to create the look and feel of the
website. The goal of this stage is to get a generic page
design.
The generic page will be "customized" for each page
later, including logo, and other graphic resources to be
used on all pages. We can say that this generic internal
page works to ensure all internal pages maintain
identical dimensions and lock in standard layout so that
all pages load with the exact same layout without any
shift regardless of browser used or whether a PC or MAC
. The generic page is then uploaded to one of our R&D
sites so that you may view it on the web instead of the
printed design samples many others provide.
This first stage takes between 5 and 10 working days.
The homepage design includes the text, images and links
that will be used throughout the site. Up to four
revisions are performed by applying changes you request.
Stage
II -Full site development
Once the
final layout has been created and approved by you, each
site's page is generated by applying the text and image
content (if any) you provide us for use in the approved
design.
We upload
the generated pages to our R&D site used for your site
and test all to ensure the look, structure and
functionality is precise, making adjustments and/or
corrections as needed.
Upon
approval of the finished website and final payment for
the finished website, we publish the completed site to
your hosting account at Boston's Best Website Hosting
(our wholly-owned hosting division) on the designated
server for your account and perform a complete test to
ensure all pages and content uploaded correctly and all
functions work as designed.
If using a
hosting provider not owned by us, we can upload the page
files to a web server once we're provided with user name
and password of your external hosting account
This stage typically takes up to a day per html page to
be developed, based on the complexity of the content and
any specialized functions such as searchable databases,
audio and/or video content and other custom features
ordered.
General
comments:
It is expected that you
provide us with all the textual content and images to be
included in the pages. Text for the site is to be
submitted in either MS Word (.doc) format or Adobe PDF
format. Images must be in any of the following formats:
.jpg, .gif, .bmp, .png, .eps
IMPORTANT:
Using copyrighted images you do not own or without
written permission is a violation of state and federal
laws as prescribed in the Digital Millennium
Copyright Act of 1998 and carries severe civil and
criminal penalties.
If needed, we can usually
provide images, taken from royalty-free image stocks at
a nominal cost per image. The cost is for processing the
image(s) for use in your site. More information
available on request.
